Kurt and Layne These guys rocked the grunge scene and I still love hearing and reading about them.

Layne Staley battled heroin addiction and other demons. Died from a heroine overdose. Found in his apartment after two weeks of being dead. They say he died with a broken heart after his longtime on- off ex-fiance had died 4 years before - from an infection she got from shooting.. Friends say he never got over that and became a hermit - never leaving his apartment only to score or go into the comic book store. He died on April 5, 2012

This guy below I mean what can you say? Kurt Cobain. The biggest name in grunge. He became a huge celebrity and did not like it...at all. He had mental illness in his family according to a family member along with suicides of Uncles. He used heroin and never stopped. I believe he suffered from bi-polar disorder as well as Layne. He was miserable no matter how happy he seemed with Courtney and Frances Bean. Eventually he left the current rehab he was in, went to his home and shot up enough heroine to kill a horse. That's why people have a hard time believing he shot himself. I believe he did and I believe he was so used to heroine that tons of it was nothing to him and he was able to shoot himself. He also was able to write a suicide note to Courtney so if he could do that (although it was a little hard to read) he could pick up a shot gun and point it to his head. He wanted out. And that's only way he could think of. He was 27 (they say his death started the name the "27 Club") when Kurt died.

Amazingly he died on April 5, 1994. The same day Layne would die 18 years later. Eerie. Two Seattle rock starts dead from drugs and mental illness. Kurt still is famous after almost 30 years! His music, his aura, he left a big whole on the planet when he left us. So did Layne. RIP
